I am the mother of a 20-year-old daughter who amazes me on a regular basis. I'm a licensed counselor working on my dissertation to complete a PhD in Depth Psychology. My dissertation is a phenomenological investigation of the experience of adults who were adopted as young children and who participate in Hellinger family constellation work. I hope to be finished with the dissertation in 2008. I worked as a technical writer and editor for many years before changing career paths. I have been in private practice for 4 years and am now in partnership with two other therapists.

I was born in Colorado, the oldest of five children. My extended family, including my father, siblings, and many nieces and nephews brings me great joy. I am interested in spirituality but so far have found the crucible of most religions too limiting. I am, however, a Unitarian Universalist because I enjoy being part of a community and the UUs leave room for great diversity. These days I am very interested in prayer and meditation and make time for this as often as I can.
